Fuji E-Nevada Two.1

I was recently in the market for an ebike. Already have a Rad Rover which we love but it is the antithesis of a light, fast bike. It's a chore handling it. The usual suspects were considered from Rad, Ride1Up, Aventon, Blix, Surface 609, etc and maybe up to the Cannondale Treadwell Neo (which my wife really liked). I popped my head in Burlington County Bicycles and saw a display of a few ebikes. I saw the Fuji E-Nevada (a leftover from 2019) for $1799! Wow, an ebike at an LBS, assembled by pros, from a well-known brand. The salesman said that that wasn't the price. It was $1200. SOLD! I test rode it and it felt similar (to me) to the Treadwell Neo in performance although bars were lower and the lack of suspension seatpost was obvious. Turns out my wife sorta hates it but I love it. It has 27.5" tires. It rolls fast and is very light for an ebike. Felt within a few pounds of the Cannondale. Shimano hydraulic brakes stop nicely. Only has a 250 watt Bafang hub motor but the fast rolling nature and light weight make it feel light, nimble, and quick. It has no lights or speed display but those items are easily fitted. Has push-pull shift levers but the derailleur is modest. Has 3 chainrings in front. I went on a 22 mile ride and was rolling along at 18-20 mph on PAS 1 (out of 5). Despite the smallish battery, range was better than the Rover. That 22 mile ride used 2 bars. The Rover would have me using PAS 2, sometimes 3, and use up 3-4 bars at lower speeds. I'm 5'7" and I bought the 15" size and it was perfect. I'm leaned over nicely, not racer-like, and the skinny saddle worked well with the body positioning. Looking at the saddle, I was ready to swap it out but a few rides convinced me that it was a very good saddle.
