Fucare Gemini x battery question

I purchased and received my new Gemini x dual battery ebike. I plan on taking it for a spin tomorrow. My question is do I need to have both batteries on if I take a short trip? Also is there an advantage or disadvantage to using only one battery?

You paid for two batteries. Might as well keep them on the bike and use them. When they both share the load, they will last longer.

You can use the smaller battery as a kind of reserve tank, so you don't have range anxiety as much.
Using both at the same time gives you longer range but you have to monitor the last miles of those batteries.
Also , depending on how they are connected , you may get more volts/amps out of using both batteries at the same time, giving you more speed and torque.

I purchased my Fucare Gemini bout 3 month ago and put a little of 1300 Km on it, just love it. Normally I turn only one Batterie on so I have the other as a spare to get home for sure.
