Today's ride (6/6/2021) was the first hot one here in southern New England with the temps in the low 90's and just a bit of wind. On my traditional bike, days like that are no fun working up steep NE hills at maybe 5-8 MPH with sweat dripping on your glasses. With my eBike (Aventon Level), maintaining a perfect, knee friendly cadence within my cardio zone, I worked the same hills at 12-15 MPH over the course of what was a twenty mile ride using PAS 2. That bit of speed difference was enough to create a breeze that enhanced evaporative cooling, and it wasn't until a brief stop and water break that I felt the windless heat of the day and became instantly sweaty, and that's why the stop was brief. The next stop was home and into a cool shower. Also, since I normally encounter other cyclists (all traditional where I live) during my rides, and there were none out today, that says something. That's why I think an eBike has the advantage in this regard...
