First Post - Help Upgrading Recent Conversion Display?

Greetings all! Longtime lurker, first time poster - thank you for all the assistance I received through searching here before purchasing and executing my conversion!

I recently used the Magnum Conversion Kit to convert my 2011 Electra Townie 7d. Loving the ride, a few minor issues to speak of and I'd be happy to answer any questions on the kit if anyone has any.

The display in my kit is the Das Kit C6 and while it functions fine it's simply too bulky for me. I really want something small and discreet. I'd like to swap it with something similar to the BAFANG SW102 or ideally the EggRider V2. Can someone help me understand how interchangeable these displays are with the controller? My research is basically telling me I'd need a new controller but I can't seem to find a Bafang Controller for my 500W hub motor? All of my research on Bafang controllers leads me to mid-drives. What am I missing? Any help or advice would be very appreciated, even if it's a recommendation for a different display. Not worried about additional purchase costs as I'm also going to be converting my wife's bike soon and plan to piece meal the parts together this time rather than buying a kit.

Not even the same brand controller match the same brand display if there has been a software revision since purchase. You have to buy displays & controllers together to get anything to match. Unless you are a bike shop and the SW engineer would talk to you & reveal board PN's and display pn's because of possible future purchases.
I ditched my display which fogged up in the rain. Throttle has red yellow green battery LED's, that's all I need to know. the numbers were all wrong on the $70 optional display I bought from ebikeling anyway. 0 mph down the hills, yeah, right. More like 35.
Advantage of no display, I don't have to take it off to turn the bike upside down to fix a flat tire.

You mention what you would like to swap to, but you failed to mention some necessary details. Like what you have now for instance, or what drive you used to power your conversion.

Thanks for the replies. AHicks - That would help. Hope this is all the info you would need.

Motor: 8Fun 500w Rear Geared Hub 26"
Battery: Samsung 48 volt/ 13 ah (628 wh) 18650
I'm also using a cadence sensor for PAS and Artec Brake Levers

The connections aren't compatible, nor is the communication protocol, so no go on any swap. I'm a dealer for Magnum, and have implemented both their kits and bafangs.

Thanks Mike, looks like I'm just on the search now for a BAFANG 48v Controller. I've found a few but they all are on some out of country sites I'm not comfortable taking a chance on just yet. Here's an example of what I've found that from what I can tell should work with EggRider? Correct me if anyone believe I'm on the wrong track here.

This controller is compatible with the Bafang SWX02 500W motor and the SW102 display. It does not work with the EggRider edition of the SW102. I already tried. :)

I have this controller, a SWX02 motor, and SW102 display powering my Mongoose Envoy.

Thank you Stan! I'm glad to have a fairly cheap and workable option here! As much as the EggRider feature set would be nice, the SW102 is really all I need.
