Firmware update and RideControl issues for Quick E+ 2018

Hi,

I own a Giant Quick E+ 2018

I am having some issues with the RideControl app, I am not able to access the Tuning section, is not displaying my battery level, and exact bike type. Also when I am connected the bike display shows some kind of a loading process, and the controls become unresponsive. I need to unplug the battery to make it work again. I guess that this issues are due to an old firmware version. My bike has 20160707000 installed. Is there any way I can update the firmware. I have one bike shop which in theory is a Giant partner but they said that they don't have the dedicated interface for Giant. Did anyone manage to update their firmware? I looked allover in the application and did not see an option to do that.

I have the same bike and don't have much luck with the app so far. The app isn't supposed to work with the 2018's according to Giant but it will find my bike. Anytime I've tried to use it to make changes though it has caused my computer to freeze to the point that I need to pull the (bike) battery to reset everything. I'm not sure if there is a new firmware out there for 2018 models. I know that Giant had, at one point, pulled their firmware update capability from the app because it was doing more damage that good. I'm hesitant to keep trying because I don't want to damage something permanently

any update on this? i got a 2018 toughroad e+ and while my phone app find the bike, it dosnt give me access to tunning? anyway around that? or dongle that allow tunning % of pedal assistance?
