Fazua systems factory tour

The Graber/Vivax system that mounts in the seat tube and has gotten press for being a bit too stealthy and found used in sanctioned racing causing the UCI to start using technology that detects any type of electric motor is for sure the most compact e motor system available. However due to the small diameter of seat tubes the motor and battery are very restricted watt and wh wise.

The Fazua system is pretty much the same concept but they use the down tube to house the drive/battery and also a proprietary bb shell. The beauty of the system is that you can remove the battery and most of the drive, except for whatever is in the bb shell, thus removing the major amount of the system weight, insert a cover and ride your bike with only a small weight gain over a similarly speced conventional bike.

It seems that Fazua is holding off on entering the US market for now but that isn't stopping them from producing them for other countries and as this video shows they are on top of their program in I might say typical German fashion. https://www.emtb-news.de/news/en/fazua-e-bike-motors-factory-visit/

I really like to see young people doing this type of development and the energy it obviously contributes to the eBike market. I wish them the best of luck and look forward to trying one of their systems someday.

This is very cool.
Fazua has been implemented by several manufacturers. It's a very clever system.

Pinarello uses them on their NYTRO eBike.

Maybe not the best example Ravi, Pinarello eBikes are a hot topic today.

To be fair the one in the news was a kit installation:cool:
