Favorite Rides?

I'm wondering...

It might be fun to share favorite rides on here -- perhaps actually as a separate sub-fora.

Folks could post kml or gpx files. However, some forum configuration would have to change so we could upload those files.

I suggested this on here months ago but no takers. Going to subscribe to see if it goes anywhere this time. Getting the files right is key.

Also the APP's like Strava etc. allow you to post to the general public so sharing your user name here would have the same effect.

I have some good rides to share. I have at times, but like JRA said, there's little interest. 4 years ago there was more about living with and riding ebikes here, now it's mostly shopping and fixing. That is how the forum is funded.

Edit: It takes some real effort to post a ride with details and pictures. If wanted and read it's worth it. Otherwise it's a letdown.

Could be as simple as a ride board heading that one could post rides on or request ride info also.

I got to thinking about this when looking through the photo threads and seeing the cool places people are riding their bikes.

Yes, there is Strava. There is also ridewithgps and a host of others (I've been using Suunto movescount mostly because it works transparently with my smartwatch). I'm not going to sign up for all of them to see someone's rides. That's why I thought such a thread would be fun.
