My experience with ebikes is only as a user of a BH Beartreck
where a Ciclotek kit with 5 levels of assistance was assembled.
In this ebike the engine assistance is always present, regardless of the level
of power you use. In other words, I can either cycle at 25 km/h
at level 1 and at 10 km/h at level 5, that is, the power provided by the engine is independent of the speed at which I am traveling.
Meanwhile, I bought a Fafrees F28 Pro and was surprised
by the way the engine management is configured. I'll try to explain:
I start pedaling at level 1 and when I reach a speed of 9 km/h the engine
turns off suddenly; To increase speed with assistance I must go up to level 2,
in which the engine only assists up to around 14 or 15 km/h, the same happening at all levels, i.e. to increase speed
with engine assistance it is necessary to raise the level.
I don't like this system and the question I ask is the following:
Is it possible to change the configuration of the Fafrees controller so that it works like the BH with the Ciclotek kit?
