Probably ever since bicycles were first invented, people have been looking for alternatives to the traditional approach of pedalling in circles. Los Angeles-based inventor Rodger Parker has utilized one such alternative in his NuBike, which he claims is more efficient than a chain-drive bike.

IMO, rotary always trumps reciporcating, it always botherd Me about TDC on a piston engine, it seems now that some of that has been addressed with new style"offset" piston engines.I was forever stalling the pedal drive on sewing machines.

Beautiful design. I would love to ride one as well. The drive reminds me of the eccentric rod movement for the valves on an old steam locomotive. Jedidiah will appreciate this since it was taken in his neck of the woods.
