evelo top speed

The Evelo bikes are governed to top out at 20mph. Supposedly, once that speed is reached, no amount of vigorous pedalling will get you to go any faster. If you pedal faster than 20, the controller pulls back on the electric assist keeping you at 20. Has anyone observed this to be true? Namely, has anyone been able to pedal faster than 20 continuously with the motor putting out at max power rather than it reducing the assist. The bike should not be in the offtrack mode (takes max speed up to 24.8 mph).

I've gotten my Aurora up to 23mph on level 5 assist. What's the off track mode?

[On the controller setup, you can select 24.8 mph as top speed versus the standard 20 mph
