Earlier than ever and for professionals only. The Eurobike 2018 in the capital of the Zeppelin Friedrichshafen. Not in the news-list at the time, but for sure, Stromer will present the new ST3.

The ST3 will be ranged below the ST5, but with the beloved rack. Several technical details are leaked by Stromer itself (by error...). Stromer defines the model hierarchie over the headlight. So, the most significant change belongs to the headlight. No more Supernova; seems to be a square formed Roxim. There is also a new color: Dark Forest Green

As time goes by...

In 2012, the famous swiss model Ronja Furrer was photographed by Remo Neuhaus. The bike was the new launched ST1. Now, the ST3 is upcoming. The elegant commuting is performed by a another model. The shooting was in front of an impressive building which I don't' recognize.

Earlier, the myStromer AG was part of the BMC empire. BMC is located in Grenchen (were Breitling and Rolex are located too). When you travel from BMC to the Stromer HQ, you have to cross the river Aare. Since 1997, this nice bridge makes it easier. If you did this in the past days in a clear moon night, you might have dream about the upcoming ST3...

The fact sheet for ST3 has become available.

You'll find the pdf document in the swiss stromerforum. Despite the listed colours, a "launch edition" in deep forest green as shown above is announced.

The new Roxim Z4E pro is the most visible change. Below the daytime running light, the Stormer badge - known from ST2 LTD - is mounted. The handlebar and the cable integration are somewhat downgraded (in comparison with the ST5). The display is similar to the ST5. On the green edition, a rusty red is used as accent color.

Roxim advertises high and low beam; both with 900 lumen. Getting a broad low beam from a square housing might be challenging.

Roxim don't give lot informations on the rear light. However, the R3E will have license plate illumination and brake light. This as both are mandatory in the EU.

The launch edition comes with a brooks saddle

Yes, it will be the Brooks Cambium C17.

Furthermore, the battery will be the BQ983 with 983Wh (instead the 814Wh for the b&w ST3). The remaining question is its price tag.

The ST3 shooting took place in Munich.

The stainless steel sculpture "Discrepancy" by Roxy Paine marks since 2011 the entrance of the business building of the Munich Re in the Mandlstraße at the English Garden.

The handlebar with horn and light switches on the left and the Shimano Microshift levers to the right.

Some editing of the picture was necessary to take the stuff out of the dark.

From the Eurobike 2018, we brought some pictures. Here are those from the ST3 "Launch Edition":

The stem like the ST5, but now with standard handlebar. As known from the accessories list, both can be changed.

The new Roxim rear light. The reflective unit is no longer at the rack.

Saw somewhere else it will be 600w motor as opposed to 750 in st5

You're always invited to visit my homebase, the swiss Stromer Forum. The MY 2019 overview gives the figures for Switzerland and EU. The values for ROW might vary, but keep im mind: These are only paper-values, depending from the different methods of measuring the power of a Stromer (it's red tape all the way)...
