So it looks like the "hidden" motor that caused a row in the road bike world and made them carry around tablets that could detect the presence of e now they just nip it in the bud even a e events. I have to be honest though that racing EU limit bikes is kind of like racing regular bikes except for perhaps the uphill as race pace is generally beyond that on regular bikes on flats and downs.
After Covid I wager there will e classes at local events so people can join in on the fun and not have to deal with the UCI. Certainly cheating would still be frowned upon but maybe they could have like a 1000w open class, it's off road use, and spice things up a bit and give the engineer types a venue to test their stuff. Pretty much that is what racing has always been about.
