Embt mode quest

I just went to Boschs website and it said I could get EMBT mode at a local dealer. I went to that dealer and they said they do not service this brand of my bike only Specialized. Will that software still work on my Orbea Bosch CX motor? If not is there away to get the software online?

Thanks

I think that eMTB mode will have to be installed by a Bosch-certified dealer. Bosch's website should provide info on local dealers.

Hi as previously stated I visited the dealer in my local area that was on the bosch website. Thanks

The odd thing is that Specialized has never used Bosch. Perhaps one of their mechanics attended a seminar on them and that is how they got on the list. You just need to keep searching for a Bosch shop that has the ability to do the process.

The EMTB mode can be installed on any Bosch CX motor. It will not go onto a HS (speed) motor or an active line motor. 'The common brands that use Bosch bike components are Trek, Raleigh, Bulls Haibike, Kona, Riese & Muller, Moustache, and Tern (I am sure I left out a few). Go on line and look for a local shop that carries one or more of those brands. Surely one of them can help you.

A word of caution, some love the EMTB mode. Others, like me, prefer the old sport mode that allows them to control the assist level rather than having an algorithm dong so. I find that, while EMTB is convenient, I get more miles on a charge by manually selecting the assist level during a ride. Be sure what you ask for.

Thats what I was thinking. I think the employee was miss informed i guess. It showed them as the only shop. There is also a trek shop maybe Ill try there.
