Ebike won't move with throttle, just chatters and pulses

What do you expect to accomplish with a new harness? It's the last thing I would think to replace. Not to mention you could troubleshoot it easily without replacement, just a decent continuity meter.
Well I guess I haven't learned enough to use a continuity meter yet. For a $16 wiring harness that is correct for the bike I figured it would just be an easy way to check. I do believe I stretched a wire. But if not that's okay. I'm going out of town Tuesday and it will come in by the time I get back and then I can give it a shot. If not, it's only $16. I did find a local bike shop that can check it out for me if it doesn't work. I do love working on things and learning everyday.

I really just try to figure something out. I literally put 3 miles on it and it stopped working. It could be a hall sensor of course but I know it's not the one in the throttle. So I take it it could be one on the rear hub. I put it up on a stand and went through all the gears and all the echo numbers of tonight and it ran nicely but it's just a throttle that won't work. I do appreciate finding forums like this to get some much-needed help and ask questions so I can always learn new things. I am pretty good at retaining information. Thank you all again.

I can't wait to get this thing moving again. Has rather upset that has stopped working right when I got it but it was second hand and I know how things work like that. It was about half price from new with a ton of extras like batteries etc. I'll let y'all know if I figure it out with the new harness

Yes, it is probably cheaper to buy the harness if you suspect there is a wiring problem.

Hope you get the problem fixed and come back and share some ride videos!

Will do. I just took it for a spin around the neighborhood through the eco and all worked fine through number nine. Interestingly enough, when I'm as a cruising pedal speed, I can crank the throttle and it will just keep me at that speed. Quite odd. Still not sure why it won't just take off by only cranking the throttle. Just odd. Cheetah is quite loud lol. Kind of harmonics and vibrations when getting up into speed

Right on!

Some ebikes are different and won't let you use throttle above a set speed and some allow you to change those settings. Your Cheetah ebike buddies can help you with that.

Now go ride and have some fun and looking forward to some pics/video of your rides!

Then none of the symptoms you described were accurate . No problem as forum troubleshooting is subject to miscommunication and inaccurate descriptions. Next time a short video might make for a quicker assessment. Glad you’re making progress.

Well actually the chattering came from the bike not moving when I twist the throttle. It originally did so I'm not sure what the issue is. The cheetah bike will work under just throttle. That is my major issue. It was making a stuttering sound and I'm not sure what it was or still is

I tried to post a video but of course I'm not intelligent enough to figure that out. I'll go and make my way over to the revy cheetah forums

@tomjasz is the real deal.
Just asking. I do not know your bike. Some bikes are setup so that the cadence sensor needs to be active before the motor kicks in with the throttle, as a safety feature incase you bump the throttle at an intersection or while walking the bike. To test this try pedaling, then use the throttle. My experience is limited and more focused.

^That should have been your first red flag! I would avoid buying used bikes unless its from an actual shop or web store where you have a trial period or warranty.

Was working when I got it. Not everyone can afford $3000 for a new one.

I have sold 3 of my older ebikes with extra batteries with no problems at all and very pleased people. I always tell them to ride it for a week and bring it back if you don't want it and I will give back the money and I would.

Not everyone can afford a new ebike and many ebike riders trade up and sell off an older model.

My neighbor's throttle quit working. The diagnoses from the bike company was that he was throttling too much. He had it on constantly on hot days going up some steep grades for several miles. Guess it wasn't built for that. I think they sent him replacement parts with a suggestion to pedal more.

I like to pedal more, it's just that I want it working due to my nature of things that are supposed to work should work lol

A guy's motor was hot to the touch this week. I asked him if it was being ridden floored, full speed in Turbo. You wouldn't do that to your brother-in-law's car. Turbo boost is for when you need it, like to cross an intersection. I told him that in power level three at a cadence of 70-80 it will not get hot. It was doing what was requested like a loyal horse. Treat your bike like a living thing that you love and want to keep and it will keep giving in return.
