ebike carrier question

Many of the top carriers use a locking arm on the tires. Does that really work with a bike has fenders, without bending or denting them? I know the Thule easy fold clamps onto the frame. Are there others that can handle 2 50-60 lbs ebikes that latch onto the frame vs the tires?

I wondered the same thing. My Kuat NV 2 has the type of locking arms I believe you are referring to.Like the bus system uses. I haven't seen any rubbing or damage to my St2 front fender .The design Kuat uses is very functional and stable. Though I can't give a long term evaluation .

Does the ST2 have the equivalent of the the city kit? If so how does it lock on the back tire if it has a rack?

Yes it has the city kit. And the rear tire has a strap that goes around the wheel at the bottom. The strap slides on a track to where ever the center of your wheel lines up. I use tool to get a good grip on the end , and the strap has teeth that lock it down.
