E-rad bafang

Court mentioned in a video this platform allows for shift sensing.

Is that true?

I'm waiting for a bafang that will allow me to shift while in pedal assit mode on a 7 speed internal gear hub, which necessitates the motor slowwing down a bit while the hub completed the shift.

Is this possible?
Are there other bafang bbso2 units that can achieve this?

Is it with a torque sensor?

Do any kits allow the use of a torque sensor ( and a grin cycles cycle analyst v3 display) on the bafang?
If not now soon?

More info here in the e-Rad forum. http://electricbikereview.com/community/forums/e-rad/

Our e-RAD mid drive kits include the GearSensor. GearSensor is a device that is manufactured in Europe and allows mid drive motors to cut power automatically during shifts. This eliminates the myriad of drivetrain problems that present themselves with mid drive electric bike systems (especially the high power ones). In addition to the gear sensor, our e-RAD mid drive kits have a built in controller with a dedicated output for the gearsensor. This is necessary as the gear sensor requires its own parameters that are different than the e-brake functionality that performs a similar task. In addition, we offer the gear sensor in two different varieties for derailleur and internally geared hubs (igh).

There is no torque sensor option as it would require a very large redesign of the system to accommodate this. Although it may come in the future, there is no specific timeline, working prototypes or production plans for a torque sensing version no or in the near future.

Yes, zeev, somewhat, but no bafang torque sensor available yet(still under development ), its a movement sensor ( like cadence but better). lectriccycles.com has the only cool shift sensor patent till 2018 on the bafang motor, saving on drive train and frequent chain replacement. Moreover, currently, bafang motor gear shifting requires an award 3 step shifting sequence, including using break cut off and unnecessary breaking. But now, Chris Head @ electric cycles. Phone # 480-382-0665, has offered use a thoughtful solution. I think you can order this standard e-rad sensor for $95 or so. Now, I'm myself ordered the Origin 8 Crawler from them, partly my decision to buy was because this unique clean shifting sensor, talk to Chris, Jeff, or Seth, all great people.
