E bikes with a full range of gears

The pedego ridge rider has throttle on demand no matter which level of assist your on except level 0. It also can be adjusted to go to 25 mph from your display panel. It has tourque and cadence mode too. In level 6 it's throttle mode only. Hope that helps.

It does. I just wish it wasn't so expensive and fulfilled my wish list better. I'll check out PEDEGO again.

I'm sure the ridge rider comes with a 48 volt battery and 14 amp now. 20 gears is plenty. Trust me. Good luck. Oh also the brakes on the bike are like car brakes no squeaking.

I checked again and you're correct; it does fulfill my wish list, except for the price. $4,495.00 with tax is $5169.25. That's more than I want to spend. Tell me, though, would it accept fenders and racks?

Yes it would take a rack and fenders. Pedego will tell which is the best brand to use if you call them. They have excellent support.

If you call or text them they will give you a discount. This is a copy of my invoice.

If your looking at my bill of sale the bike was $3999.99 but they gave me a discount which was $3500.00.
Even if they took off $500, it would still come to $4600 with tax. By the time I customized it, it would be back to the original price unless I could use all the stuff from my Globe Sport.

@supramax, I've been following this thread and read you liked the Easy Motion Cross, but noticed you were a little turned off by the negative comments on another thread. BH, the maker of Easy Motion bikes has been in business for more than a hundred years and is one of the largest ebike brands, so there will be some negative comments somewhere about something. That Cross was a different bike all together than the current Cross. As for how it stacks up to the Pedego Ridge Rider? It doesn't, the Pedego is a MTB, the Cross is a hybrid. It's important to note Pedego and Easy Motion 500 watt hub motor bikes all use the same Dapu hub drive.

Good luck in your search!

My total was $4000.00 tax in and delivery. Maybe prices jumped up. I just bought mine this past August.

This is the Easy Motion bike to compare to the Pedego. (Both very nice!)

Thanks for the pointers. Last years Cross is the one I can get for $3000, though. :) (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) The 2017 is $1000 more.
