Dropper Seat Post for Verve+ 2

I recently fitted a dropper seat post to my wife’s Verve+ 2 as she was having trouble getting on and off with the seat set at correct height. I used a DNM CSP 31.6 mm seat post with 50 mm drop and external cable routing. Fitted to a Medium size bike, it suits the desired seat height of 710 mm with adjustment possible for 20-25 mm lower than that. I mounted the control lever on the left side of the handlebars, by moving the Bosch display/control unit and brake lever to the right a bit. I left the supplied cable at full length, and secured it to the down tube with cable ties, as well as securing it to the brake line and electrical cable on the left side of the handlebars. Overall, the installation was easy and it ended up looking pretty neat.

Another change I did earlier was to fit an offset bracket for the water bottle cage to make room for a large 750 ml bottle, otherwise the bottle cage was too high and the large bottle wouldn’t fit under the top tube.

Curious how this is working for her. My wife is having s=a similar issue and is considering this option. She has the step thru Verve +3, so cable routing may be an issue.

It’s working very well. The dropper seatpost has been transferred onto a Trex Fx+ which has taken up residence recently and is the primary e-bike for my wife.

Check the measurements carefully to make sure you can obtain the correct seat height. The dropper post has limited height adjustment compared to a normal seatpost. For my wife, the target seat height was 710 mm measured from crank centre, and that worked out well with an M size frame on the Verve+ 2.
