Dost Kobe or Priority Current or Trek Allant 8?

Dost Kobe or Priority Current or Trek Allant 8?

need a bike to pull my kids on trailer
All three will tow a trailer, but do you need to climb hills? The Dost and Trek models will be better at that than the Priority Current which started out using the excellent Enviolo CVT but then switched to the less useful Nexus Inter-5 IGH which lacks low gear range. The Dost Kope has a throttle and I’ve found that helpful on my DIY ebike when towing a trailer or a WeeHoo to get going from stationary. But the Trek Allant is almost 10lb lighter weight and uses the excellent Bosch Performance speed motor with torque pedal assist, certainly worth a test ride.

I am not going to weigh in here as I don't know enough about the others. Just wanted to add that the Priority Current can now be purchased with the Enviolo hub for an additional fee.

That is good news, I was hoping the decision to switch to the Nexus Inter-5 was a temporary solution required by the global parts shortage, it's a no-brainer to select the Enviolo hub so it's good to see it come back as an option on the Priority Current.

I canceled my order for a Dost Kope and went with the Priority Current instead. In the end, I just thought the PC was a better bang for the buck. And my wife thought I'd kill myself with a thumb throttle. So there's that. Also, Dost couldn't give me a firm delivery date and I'm the anxious type. From everything I've read about the 2 bikes, I'm sure I would've been fine either way, but I just think the Priority would work better for me. Looking forward to its arrival next week.
