Does Pedego ever go on sale?

I know some brands some time of year go on sale. I am looking at getting the Pedego Stretch. I saw one locally posted on ebay and that got me super interested. However, as two working parents, paying for college for an older son, caring for an in-law in our home, and homeschooling an autistic 12 year old child - forking over $3895 for the ebike is a lot and that's before getting the second seat accessory or other such.

I know there is the rentals that sometimes sell, but that usually isn't the stretch. A sale period to wait for would be helpful for us so that we can find it easier to go to the farmer's market, local shops, concerts etc with the autistic son and or even my husband and I!

Your best bet for finding any bike on sale is to find a dealer who carries quite a bit of inventory and wait until a new model year comes out. After the 2018 models (for example) are out the dealers will mark down any 2017 models they still have in the shop.

This gets more complicated with the Stretch because my impression is that most dealers will not have any in stock, except perhaps a demo model.

The other option (like you said) is that Pedegos are popular with bike rental shops. You might be able to get a gently used but well-maintained Stretch that way.

Try negotiating with the shop. Ask for a discount. :) And, I hope your son is riding his own e-bike someday! :)
