Not sure of the model . Upon powering up I get a flashing engine symbol .
Everything but battery & display are unplugged .

You’ll get errors when you only have the display and battery plugged in. You are getting the motor error because the motor is missing.

What’s the problem with the bike?

Never had any errors while bench testing . And it does not matter what's plugged in .
Same engine symbol showing with now error code .

Was it the motor that had no errors while bench testing? But errors when connected to the bike?

If the motor runs fine while on your test bench, then seems like the controller on the bike is the issue. Assuming the wiring to the controller is good. Since SnapCycles support page is dead and the company doesn't offer a replacement controller (only display), I would get a new controller and display. Then the task is to wire it into the bike.

Motor will run when plugged into a different bike .
I suspect it is the controller . Only way to get one is to have a Snap Cycle rep send an invoice for one .
I was able to do it with a different model .
I have way too much service work to do to be wiring a different controller .
Customer is willing to scrap the bike , but then I'm stuck with it taking up space .

Oh. Thats a tough position to be in. I’m glad you have a path to resolve the issue. What if you resell the bike after you have more time to fix it?

Well, what does the flashing motor signal mean?

On one of my bikes, the brake warning signal looks like a motor, or a Tie fighter... |-O-| .

It came on yesterday when I was riding and lost power. When I realized it was the brakes, I jiggled the levers and it went away. Whew, I might have had to pedal a mile or two,
