local shop is selling a ST2s for 1/2 price , good deal or the norm for 2017 models? New bike

Aside from the new Omni and a horn, there are not many big changes lined up for ST2S in 2018. With that in mind, the aforementioned price reduction seems like a great deal! If the bike is equipped with the old version of the Omni, you may want to look into upgrading and swapping out the old Omni for the new one. I believe Stromer may be offering a discount on the new Omni to customers with newly purchased bikes equipped with the old version. I certainly recommend the upgrade.

FYI, the MSRP of the ST2S is due to change from $10,000 to $9,000 for 2018.

but still - 50% off (so - 5,000$?) is an outstanding price for the ST2S. Our stores here offer the STS2 "on sale" for 8,999 (which is basically next year's price anyway... Is it a demo bike or brnad new?

It is brand new, put it on lay away, didnt want the warranty to be used while the bike sits in winter . We should be getting a new (fresh)battery at the time of final payment. It didnt come with a rack so we will be getting after market rack and and suspension fork. This is for my wife to replace her st1. We now will have 3 Stromers in the garage.

Biggest issue is if i can keep from from buying an st5 after this is paid off. the we would have 4, give the used ones to my brother and his wife???

1 of the positives for me is when I go for extended rides we I will have access to 2 blue and 2 gold batteries, no more range worry on my all day rides even in power level 3

I have purchased at Lenny's in the past and have no real issue doing so again but this price is as good as i have seen anywhere and they are now my Stromer repair shop. I like them very much anyway. Local purchase is just the best when it can be done for me, i dont work on bikes.

I agree, supporting local stores is great. On the other hand: 50% off on an ST2S is one heck of a deal - would you mind sharing the stores name?

Well Lenny's had it at 50% off at one point, definitely preferred if not buying local for me,worth a phone call. I purchased at Conte's Bike Shop in Falls Church. The sale sign on the bike was ST2 not St2s. They knew before we completed the deal that this is an "s", I am not 100% sure I didnt get a better deal then they anticipated when they originally priced the bike. it was a 17" too. I would highly recommend the shop in general
