disc brake locks??

Does anyone have any experience with these? From your experience, how useful are/would they be? I'm looking for simple, short-term bike security without the awkward storage of U-locks or folders, for mid-ride stops or errand running.

It's very scary how nothing stops a determined thief. Still, for $3.99, plus a pair of chains. the other bikes will get stolen first. Plus these alone won't stop them from lifting the bike into a truck.

You're better off using any old padlock you have laying around the house. Don't forget its locked though, as that will likely damage your brakes and fork. I saw a motorcycle rider do just that. Bike was able to be ridden, but there was cosmetic damage. A friend uses a padlock on his disc and uses a bright orange ribbon and ties it to the handlebar so he doesn't forget.
