Direct drive hub vs Geared drive hub motor noise difference

Although it might be hard to accomplish, has anyone posted a video comparing the noise difference between a direct drive vs geared drive hub motor?

I ride a geared hub driven bike (MAC12t), and much (most?) of the time ride with my wife, who rides a direct drive (1500w by Leaf). Side by side, they are both quiet, making just a slight hum when accelerating hard. There is NO gear noise.

In my experience, a noisy gear driven hub is past due for service, which is not required very often - if ever.

Stromer dead silent can’t hear at all...BH w/Dapu can tell when it is engaged at all speeds can hear over wind speed even at 28

Yes, they're all very quiet. All of the brands and configurations. Electric drives are simply quiet operating. It's a non-issue.
