coefficient of relatedness

the mean number of genes shared between two related individuals. Identical twins share 100% of their genes and have a coefficient of relatedness of 1. Between siblings and between parents and offspring, the coefficient of relatedness is .5; between uncles or aunts and nieces or nephews and between grandparents and grand-offspring, it is .25; and between first cousins, it is .125. Most studies of kin recognition and kin-directed behavior show effects only with coefficients of relatedness of 0.25 and greater. See also inclusive fitness.
Thanks, but I'm still having a problem with the "Monkey shares 98%" part. Again, it's been a long time since biology class, but this helps me;

So basically your genes define how you are different from others of our species while your dna defines us as a species. So a chimp shares 98% of our dna and I share lots of genes with my sibings, but this isn't the same as saying that I share lots of genes with a chimp, is it? I'm certainly not getting this from the Coefficient of Relatedness article.
