That's awesome! It reminds me of the Ace Retro Track from Ace Electric Motorbikes which is another ebike company out of New Jersey (looks like the Derringer is out of LA).

I was told that these bikes resemble the track bikes (motorcycles) of the 1920's and 30's. The Retro Track has a 2000 watt rear hub motor and can hit 25 to 30mph (technically not street legal). It uses a powerful 48 volt LiFePO chemistry battery pack and has a similar sprung fork in the front as the Derringer. It's neat how they put the batteries in that top tube canister that resembles a gas tank
