Custom built board track racer

Hi, I just finished this custom built board track racer recreation. The frame, coaster brake hub and chain transmission come from a 1940-50 Sunshine Canadian bicycle completely restored. I made the fake motor, double fork and seat post with aluminum. The motor base hide all the wires except the batteries wires that imitate the spark plugs wires. The black cylinders are 2 Lipo batteries ( 6S,12A). The front hub motor is 500 W. There is no plastic parts except for electronics, only steel, aluminum, genuine leather, brass and copper. Indian transfers are true vintage motorcycle transfers. I chose the coaster brake to keep handlebars naked like was the board track racers that had no brakes at all. The fourth pic. is a genuine 1910-20 board track racer. The fifth pic. is the donor bike when I found it and the last one, my cardboard pattern. Thank you for watching.

Absolutly beautiful ❤️. Forget its a tribute to what was once the most popular sport in the country the look, to me, still holds up to todays concept of stylistic. Bravo!

Thank you.

Like I said to my brother the original look a lot better but mine is 50 times cheaper and is road legal.

It's the essence of the project, a modern electric tribute to the time when bicycles and motorcycles shared a lot of parts. Street legal, no permit, all cycles path accessible are more practical reasons to do it.

Thank you. To be honest, fake cylinders fins were part of the initial drawing. I also had in mind to cut 2 pieces of a curved handlebar, that I bought for the purpose, to mimic exhaust pipes. Both would have been relatively easy to do. Finally I favoured a more stylistic utility design instead of an exact replica. May be on the next one :)

Simply amazing attention to detail!
Here is a photo of my buddy's bike. He owns his grandpa's real board-track race bike in his garage...

Yup, He’s had the Beemer a long time and just got around to it’s restoration. The tank and fenders are
getting the black paint and white pinstripes applied. You’ll notice his grandpa’s Indian had just came out
of the barn and hasn’t been restored yet in this photo.
His newest bike is the 441 Victor in front of his 41 pickup. My absolute favorite has got to be the
Steve McQueen / Malcolm Smith replica Husky. Do you remember "On Any Sunday"
