Hey Everyone,

I'm looking for a replacement Battery for a 2010 Pedego Umbrella Folding Electric Bike 16" Black.

My neighbor is part of a bike repair company. He was able to contact the factory that makes the batteries but they can't ship the battery unless we pay for an ENTIRE Shipping Container. (very expensive)

Any ideas how I can get them to ship the battery to Nevada USA? (or anyone sell these that can ship?)

I just pre-ordered a new Juiced HyperFat 1000 watt fat tire mountain bike. I'm going to ask if Juiced would be able to ship the Pedego battery to me if the battery factory shipped it to the Juiced office in China.

This has long been discontinued by Pedago so they can't provide any support as well.

Can I try to DIY custom pack a battery or something possibly?

Thoughts Suggestions?

Seems like Pedego would step up.

Have you searched bicycle batteries? They are available.

I can't find anything, and my neighbor who is a professional can't find any. He found the OEM factory in China that made the batteries for Pedego, but they won't ship unless we pay for an entire shipping container for transport via sea freight.

Found this place on a search. Don't know anything about them. http://www.electricbikeaction.com/hey-buddy-need-a-battery/

Thanks!

The Electric Bike shop I originally bought this from in San Francisco replied:

"Hi Jon

There is a company called RPE in Las Vegas, Nevada, that can rebuild the battery.

Rechargeable Power Energy. Just do a search and call them and they will email you a shipping label to send the battery and charger. It is easy to disconnect the battery. Confirm the preferred shipper, USPS, fed ex ground, UPS, etc.

I believe the cells are standard 18-6-50 Li ion cells.

Thx Len"

RPE sounds like they should be able to fix me up. I'll contact them ASAP.
