Creo seat post collar for rack

Hi, I dislike the rack seat post collar that Specialized has. If I have a rack on and I need to lower the seat post, say to fit in my van, or even handlebar interference on a rack, I have to remove the two bolts holding the rack on and then loosen the collar to lower the seat. Then put the rack bolts back in. THis can happen over and over again while travelling. I do think it is an interesting design, but not practical for me. It seams the Creo's seat post frame diameter is unusual because I can't find and collars to fit (with rack mounts). I did find the Salsa post-collar, but they say not to use with a carbon seat post. Any suggestions or ideas? I am thinkinf I will use the Salsa collar on the carbon post as we are travelling light and staying on pavement.

Thanks, I'll take a look at it. I thought that it was too large for the seatpost, but I think I was trying to replace the seat post collar. It will fit on the seat post, but I don't think it fits around the seat post frame. I'll have to check measurements. I did find this Salsa Post Lock which also fits the seat post (not a seat post collar, to lock seat post height), It comes straight out instead of dropping down like the Problem Solver.

Wow!! Thank you, I'm heading off (with the bikes) to do a 12 day ride in the Black Hills of South Dakota. So, it will be a while before I could do any serious measurements, and I'm trying out the Salsa collar on this trip.

Dunno if the Creo has a brake bridge with a threaded hole, but my Revolt did so I made an aluminum piece and attached my rack like this:

I like the way the plate acts as a fender.

I had a rear rack that was bolted around the seatpost and then has an aluminum pipe coming out. It doesn't attach to anything else which is good for me cause I have rear suspension. The rack is rated to hold 25 lbs. I had my 10 pound battery on it and it snapped off.

I'm making my own design that will be a lot stronger. It also acts as a heat sink for the BMS I plan to get and my Tronix 250R VESC.
The electronics mount to the bottom of it. The top side is set up to have another plate attached to the top. This allows me to attach my Shark Style Battery for now. And in the future it will hold my radiator + fan system for liquid cooling

Yes.
The one I had was in free air off the seatpost.
It was rated to carry 25lbs. It snapped off after about 100 miles.

My battery is less than 10 lbs.

It was just a temporary setup anyway until I could machine my own. My design will hold my battery and my electronics and also serve as a heat sink. There's no way it will break.

It's not finished but looking like this.
The plate will slide into a collar on the seat tube. You can see because of my rear suspension that I can't run braces to the swing arm. So it just has to be strong enough to do it without extra supports. There are some mount points on the swing arm that are strong enough to hold a rack but if i did it like that my battery and electronics will bounce up and down with my wheel. That wouldn't be good.

In case your wondering what the collar looks like. I modeled the bike frame today and designed the collar that will also hold my rear rack. I'm betting it could hold 200 + LBS.

The rack bolts down to the collar, It also snaps in place so that nothing can move anywhere.
If you guys need parts like this let me know.
A similar setup cand be designed for other bikes.

With my battery and all I'll break one of those.

You need to measure the seat tube with something. I use calipers and micrometers that are expensive.
They measure very accurately. These are cheap but still good enough,

Robot or human?

You can figure out other ways but this is the best way to measure stuff.
