Creo 1.2

I currently have the Creo 1 which I have heavily modified to be a lightweight road spec. With many upgrades on the Comp, I got the weight down to 12.2kg, matching the S-Works and have been really happy with it. I have been looking at the Creo 2, but not convinced as not road spec. I would appreciated the new motor, but don't want to rebuild the bike all over again.

I have been watching the Levo Kids, which used the SL1.2 motor and was looking to take out the motor, battery and TCU and put in the Creo. Well someone on the LEvo forums has done exactly that and it worked fine. The Levo Kids here in the UK is £3500, but I have seen it on sale for £2800. Really tempted now as can pop the SL1.1 in the Kids bike and sell that one on, should be able to get £2000 back

that's pretty interesting. so the mount point for the SL 1.2 motor and batteries are exactly the same as the previous version?

the fact that the creo 2 is so far from a road bike is the main reason i wouldn't buy one again.

Yes, the motor is the same in the Creo and Levo, so if the Levo motor can be swapped, then so can the Creo. Cranks are hard to get hold of, but 30mm Sram ones also fit

intresting I think the reason behind Creo 1.2 is for gravel riders that needed the extra boost and torq for the rocky uphills, i asked Specialized if they were going to update the Vado Sl. motor to Creo 1.2 motor when i was purchasing my bike and they said no, not for now anyways

I wonder why they should upgrade $3,500 e-bikes if the current motor is perfect for a fitness e-bike :)

Creo brings money
Levo SL brings money
Kenevo SL brings money.

obviously because it’s not perfect ;)

needs to be quieter and narrower. the more powerful part, eh, but that’s just to compete with TQ and others.

You must be somewhat frustrated Mark not to be able to buy a new toy, eh? :)
As for me, I mostly pedal my Vado SL unassisted as of recent :)

The Creo was one of the first electric roadbikes and it took a few years for Fazua and TQ to top that motor. I would appreciate some more torque to help the steeper hills and the microtune also looks good to me. I love the way the Creo rides and I have not liked others I have tried as they do not have the same comfort level. This is may main reason for looking that the Kids bike transplant

i actually ordered a proper electric road bike. whether i’ll be able to really ride it is another question.
I know of your medical condition and sympathise with you!
Would you share what the proper electric road bike would be?

I think the time for the greatly redesigned road Creo 1.2 will come. "The mills of Specialized grind slowly but they grind exceeding fine" :)

i'll provide a full report if and when i can give it proper riding and testing! but it's a road bike, with road bike geometry, a 2x drivetrain and all that :D
I’m interested in your full report. In the meantime I’ll guess the SLR 9 would be one you would choose.

Nice! Yeah there are so many e-road bikes that seem to get little attention. If it’s got a TQ motor would you mind breaking the embargo and telling us about it ? : D
