I have a new Aventon 500.2 pace and as I have posted before it keeps showing error code 22 throttle error. I have to say Aventon are great to work with and will not hesitate to send parts to try to fix the problem. They sent a new throttle and same problem. So they think the controller is bad. I haven't received the controller yet but today I unplugged the throttle and the bike worked great. Do you guys think it's worth changing the controller?

No. It really sounds like the throttle is bad. Did it get wet or damaged somehow? Interesting that the new throttle didn’t work. Do you have a multimeter to test the throttles? I would test the old one and compare that to the new one. Does the throttle have a rectangular (JST) connector or is it a molded plug? Can you charge pictures of the throttle connector?

On my controllers, I get a throttle error if the thumb lever isn't returned to zero when the bike powers up. It's a safety check done by the controller to make sure the bike doesn't take off when turned on. I use sponge rubber handgrips and they often slip and hang up the thumb lever. Took me a while to figure out,
