Controller Adjustments for LMT’D w/ Torque Sensor

I’m just getting familiar with the LMT’D and before I jump into the advanced controller settings and make a mess of things I figured I would ask the question here first.

The power assist on my LMT’D continues for approx. 1.5 seconds after I stop pedaling. I’m hoping there’s a setting in the controller somewhere that can be adjusted so the power assist stops when I stop pedaling, with no delay (or at least less of a delay).

Has anyone tried to adjust this with any success?

That bothered me at first but then realized if I had a slight pause in peddling the power would shut or so determined it was a good thing to stay on a bit. I just use my brake for immediate shut off if needed.

That is set by R1U.
There were a number of changes to the controller in it's final version. One was the slower ramping of the PAS. People were complaining it was to fast. The other was the delay when you stop pedaling. I can't remember where I saw that from. It might have been from an interview with the owner from a youtube tester.
I'd contact R1U and ask.
If I find it I'll get back.

Thanks, you didn’t miss anything on that Facebook post, no answers. Ride1up told me the time it takes for the power to cut off after pedaling stops can be adjusted with the “Sensitivity” setting in the Display settings. However, their FAQ video says this only affects how quickly the motor kicks in after pedaling starts. I tried changing this setting anyway from one extreme to the other and I didn’t notice any difference in how long it takes for the motor to shut off after stopping pedalling.

That's what I saw in the display video that R1U has about the sensitivity setting. Well.. we tried.
Did you contact R1U about this?

Not yet. They’ll probably say the setting also affects the motor cutoff time but to be honest I hardly notice any change in performance from any of the settings in the controller.

Because this is my first ebike and torque sensor I didn't know what to expect. As I ride it more I seem to notice the operation of controller less. I still only use pass 1 or 2 which seems plenty here on pretty much flat ground.
New handlebars make a big difference. By accident they are the same ones you have.
I hope they get back to you to at least know if you can change settings.
Good luck.

I have put 300 miles on mine so far, and that has never ever been an issue, if that is any consolation. In fact, I am barely aware of it when riding, the brake cutoff works great.
