Connecting a Trail Gator to Radwagon

We have been using a Trail Gator for a couple years now and it has been great. We have a general rule that our almost 7-year-old will ride his bike to whatever destination and then if he wants I will tow him home.
A tow bar attaches to the adult bike seat stem and to a mount on the front of the kid's bike.

We recently got a Radwagon 4 so we can do regular outings with now 2 kids (hit 146 total miles today.)

Unfortunately there is no way to connect the Trail Gator to the radwagon seat stem because of the child seat for our youngest. This means either we do only short-ish rides so there is no need to tow, or Jr leaves his bike at home and we only bring the Radwagon. I did an 18 mile ride with the 2 kids this weekend and it was a nice day together, but would have been better if our eldest could ride his own bike for a time.

Has anybody managed a reliable way to connect a Trail Gator?

What about getting a 3/8" thick piece of flat steel, wide enough to fit past the 2 holes on the back of RW, then take a round piece of pipe and have it welded at the correct angle NEEDED to fit the Red Adaptor, then the adaptor can be attached and bolted on to the short piece of pipe that is welded to the flat steel.

Question = Do those 2 holes go all the way thru the end of the frame?
Or are they blind holes?

You already have the angles needed in the red attachment piece,
just copy that silver pipe, (if that is the correct angle needed) for attachment etc.
