So is there a list or side by side comparison of these two bikes. I’m trying to figure out what the differences are.
Thanks

EX page:
AM1000 page:

The two bikes are very simialr. In fact, if you look at the specification breakdown on the above pages (ie motor, battery, charger, frame materiel, fork, rear shock, stem, handlebar, wheel set, tires, brakes and drive train) they are exactly the same components. The only exception being the EX model has more battery capacity. The bigger battery means different frame geometry for each bike, although both are supposed to be good 'enduro' mountain bikes. It also means that the EX is heavier than the AM1000 by about 6.5lbs (3kg). Another thing to keep in mind, I recently ordered (8 months ago) an EX istead of an AM1000 because I was told that an EX would be built and shipped much sooner, so I opted for that instead. This might not true anymore, but either way the bike has to cross the ocean so be prepared to wait.

Summary:
1) all the same components
2) EX has more battery (and therefore range) but is heavier
3) each bike has different frame, ie reach and stand over height

Thanks Rosie, that is what I thought. There just wasn't any side by side spec list I could compare to see the difference.

I was also interested in this comparison, and think it might be a little more complex with the release of the AM1000 V6. It seems like the added features of the V6 to consider are:
1. Larger Built-in battery 1008WH;
2. 29/27.5" wheelset

It seems like you still get more battery (672WH * 2 / 1,344WH total) with the EX, and the optionality of using just one or both batteries. But the overall difference is less. I'm not exactly sure how to evaluate the differences in the frame geometry, but I sort of like the idea of the 29er in the front.
