My LBS sent me an email that the Como 3.0 I ordered in the fall won’t be shipped as they are releasing a Como 4.0. Color and specs are not known according to dealer. Any one know anything about this model? Thanks

I had a look at some of Specialized’s European sites and there is a 2019 Como 4.0

The gearing and shifters are for some reason like last years Como 2.0, i.e. 9 speed Shimano Alivio.
The wheels are the same size as Vado and tires are 700x45mm (narrower than Como 2.0) and it has a suspension fork.
It comes with fenders, lighting and a rear rack.
Seems like it is only available with low entry frame and that 2019 Como 4.0 replaces last years 2.0 and 3.0.
! Remember, these specs are from European sites!

Good afternoon. I'm contacting you concerning the Specialized Como 3.0 we had on order for you. We received a call from Specialized stating they will not be filling backorders for this model. The reason is because they have an upgraded version being released.
It will be the Como 4.0 which has an upgraded motor, computer display and fenders from the 3.0 model. The 4.0 version has not been release yet so I am still waiting on color, full spec information. We have put an XL 4.0 on order for you. It's expected to be available to ship by end of January. Retail price is $3350

Also notified my 3.0 is cancelled and is being replaced but with no info on the 4.0 or when will be shipped? Why no info????

I canceled my order. The new 3.0 has a smaller battery than last years 3.0. The new 4.0 will have around a 500 amp battery w fenders and a rack. A 4.0 low entry is on the USA web site but has no info yet. After waiting since September I ordered a Biktrix 1000 juggernaut. It arrives Monday. Less than two weeks from order to delivery.
