Como 2.0 ABUS battery key

Trying to get another ABUS battery key for my Como 2.0. Key with the number on is lost. I do have the second key, but no number. I have emailed ABUS and called many times over the last month but not one response from them. In my opinion terrible company. I have emailed Specialized but it has been a week and have not heard from them. NOT happy at all with Specialized customer service.
Does anyone know how to get a duplicate key made from the original, but without the key code? Can a locksmith make one?

No Abus Plus key carries the number, why should it be so?
You received a Plus Code Card which carries your personal code on the back you need for reordering, be it keys or matching further locks.

So I can understand Abus and Specialized not reacting to your weird story.
 
I took a pic and put it in note of the key number right away. if you are worried buy a replacement lock for around 25.00 and have it installed and keep the key number.

So there is no place I can send my ABUS key to get a duplicate made? I would have at least expected something from ABUS or specialize to the effect that they cannot help me, rather than totally ignoring my emails and calls. Not good customer service in my opinion.
I was also told by my LBS that it would around $100 for a new lock.

Thank you for your reply. I was just going off info on the ABUS site that said it may be possible to get a key cut if you have pictures, which I do.
I cannot make contact with anybody at ABUS to start the process.

"it may be possible for ABUS to cut you a new key based on specific photographs of your spare key from very specific angles. If you do not have a spare key or the code, we cannot cut additional or spare keys. " copied from ABUS site.

You can't "start the process" at ABUS directly.

Present your key to your LBS. He is in charge to sort it out with ABUS. Blame him if he isn't capable.
