Cold weather/wind = Cold head

I use this scarf for cold morning rides it folds to very compact size and fit in a zip lock sandwich bag easily fit in one of the pockets in my backpack. Keeps my head warm so no headaches.

Come on give me a break it gets down to low 60F when I leave the house 5am.
25mph plus 15-20 mph tradewinds. Cold enough to rattle my jaws in fact I have to find my mouthpiece or buy another one for cold rides.

ya cold and terrible. try that 33 degrees rai and wind then you can claim it.

Or the average of -10 to 10* and a North winding blow 24/7 during the winter months, this O dark thirty am it was 7*, had 1/8" frost over all the vehicle windows.

The pogonip hasn't set in yet, not uncommon to go down to -20* for weeks on end, Pogonip is called White Death, freezing ICE FOG.

And I do NOT RIDE when is gets that cold............instead I curl up with a good Louie and cup of hot jo.
ymmv

the mini Cam camera on top of the helmet
Ideally you would use underwear because you can then use the fly for the mini-cam to pop out. Simple. Just sew the leg holes shut and you are set. But, make sure they are large enough to fit over the helmet, Calvin.

Fruit of the Loom or some other generic brand? .............LOL
You guys crack me up...............what a sense of humor...........

Since the weather has been dropping into the teens nightly,
I have been getting a severe headache from the wind going thru the air vents in my helmet.
I used to ride in the cold weather with a big Blue colored pullover head cover, that went over the helmet, and I could seal off under my chin.

Since I have added the mini Cam camera on top of the helmet, I can no longer use the Blue pullover head covering, and my hoodies won't fit over the camera also.

Your thoughts on stopping/closing off the air vents of the helmet in the cold air?
Tia,

Like was already suggested, a water-resistant and windproof balaclava may be helpful. I don't think any of the ones that I use, currently, are. This is another one that is water-resistant and windproof.

The Klim Arctic Balaclava has a breath deflector to reduce googles from fogging up. Klim isn't the only one with a breath deflector, but not all of them have that feature.

I like that helmet with the visor in the video

Just spray the XL Calvin's with Scotchgarde and you are set. Ready to Rock.

I just finished a ride at over 15 miles and it was 50* and a 5-10mph North wind, I left the helmet home and pulled the hoodie down tight and stayed on all the canal/farms roads, it may be the last ride of the year, I hope not, but we have some foul weather coming in, at least that what they say.

I just purchased a handmade wool beanie cap today to have under my helmet tonight for our annual lighted bike parade.

Tia,
Adapt or build a version of the old school motorcycle helmet screen? The bubble design or the simple, flat lexan sheet, that can be flexed in an arc across the face area of the helmet.
