Clipless pedals on a LMT’D?

I’ve ridden with clipless pedals on my mtn bike for years and enjoyed the power by being able to pull while coming up on the back stroke. Has anyone swapped the flat pedal for a clipless on their LMT’D? Theoretically, it might work pretty well the torque sensor.

why not, I've been riding mtb, gravel and now my 700 with platform/clipless dual pedals for years... I sometimes need to go for quick errands with sandals or running shoes and these offer the flexibility of going on the platform side or for my regular, longer rides with the clipless (SPD). Best of both worlds.

Quick follow up...I have Specialized mountain bike shoes and the cleats are recessed (see photos) The pedals on my mtn bike are not the platform/clipless combo. does it look like the EH500 clips will work with this set up?

Update: got the new pedals...went with Venzo’s as the Shimano’s were either back ordered or double the price. They work perfectly with my mountain bike shoes with the Shimano SPD’s, and came with a new set of cleats I will install when my current ones wear out. Being clipped in and able to push and pull through the entire stroke took what is already a quick bike and made it even better! (At least that’s my perception as I have no way to measure scientifically.) I’m glad I made the upgrade! I remember when I first started riding with clipless and being nervous about getting locked in and unable to get out. Once you do it a few times and muscle memory kicks in to twist out heel first it is no big deal. I’ve only had a couple times when I was riding single track trails where I crashed and the bike came with me...and it ended up being better that it did as I would’ve either been hiking down a ravine, or going fishing in a reservoir to retrieve the bike! I have zero plans to ride like that with my LMT’D...too old for that stuff anymore.
