Don't use high pressure water on any bicycle. You don't want to drive water into bearings or sensors and connectors. You just need enough pressure to wash the soap off. About what you would use to water a plant or just use a spray bottle.
This is a Park Tool link with typical instructions and suggestions for brushes etc:

A mechanic on a recent trip suggested using alcohol in a spray bottle to clean the bike. It's cheaper than bike cleaner and evaporates without a mess. He also uses it in a chain cleaning tool (Pedros chain pig or Park Cyclone chain scrubber etc) since you do not have to rinse the chain before re-lubing with Dumode Tech or similar. I plan to use that method next time.
I use the white lightning spray cleaner and then gently hose it off. I wipe/dry with a microfiber towel. Easy enough, no issues, and the bike looks great (until my next foray onto the dirt).
