Charger for 2007 Giant Lite

I have access to a Giant Lite, but the charger is missing. It has 24V NiMH battery packs. Can anyone help?

I did a quick search around the www and it appears this is an older generation of ebike with a nimh pack. That battery chemistry was notorious for short range, short run times for anything they powered. Remember the old laptops good for an hour?? I have no experience with that specific drive system.

My guess is ebay might be the best source if your Giant dealer doesn't have them available any longer.

Does the connector look like this? This image is labeled '24v for Lafree'. The link goes to a european seller: https://www.accu-company.nl/en/fiet...volt-giant-lafree-charger-nicd-and-nimh-.html

Thank you so much for going to the trouble to give me some information and advice. I think that it is time to consider a new bike. By the time I convert to Lithium Ion and get a new charger, I will still have a 13 year old, 24v motor. I am sure the newer brushless motors will give me more power with less maintenance. I have a heart rhythm issue and my doctor wants me to get more exercise. I live in a hilly area and thought an ebike would keep me from overtaxing on long rides. Any advice on a brand/type? I don't want to spend a fortune but don't want to get something that won't last.

Glad to help... what is your budget range? What style bike are you looking for... Cruiser, Step-thru, Commuter, etc?
