Case to transport battery. Harbor Freight $17. I know, it's not legal but it's better than a cardboard box!

Nice find!

It's always a good idea to carry your batteries in a protective case when transporting. There have been several posts here about batteries being dropped, sliding off back seats or dropping something on one. When you consider the replacement cost and see the consequences of damaging one of these batteries, $17 is a small price to pay.

I spent around $150 for the protective cases I use. I found these padded nylon bags which are a perfect fit.

I use this Nanuk sensitive equipment case which holds two batteries in their padded bags as well as a charger:

This is what I’m going to be using for my spare Bosch PowerTube when I get it. I’ll use it both on the bike and when I’ve got the bike on the rack.

Dallant, that is a very nice bag. where did it come from?
It’s a Stasher 3.0 beer/food carrier tube and I got it on Amazon.
