Cane creek thudbuster ST gen 4

Has anyone tried this seat post yet? I have a Trek Verve+2 and the suspension seat post it came with is pretty much useless. Wondered if this might make a difference.

Is what you call Gen 4 the same one listed on CaneCreek's site as 'all new'?

If so, yes I have one (as well as one of their older models) and they do take the edge off. I only have the ST models, but would assume the LT models provide an even softer ride.

I would rate the CaneCreek ST as softening the ride comparably to a Suntour SP12 NCX, but with less overall movement when pedaling hard. Elastomer replacement in the 'all new' ST is much nicer as you just slip the puck in and out, without the need to remove any bolts.

Also, if it matters to you, the 'all new' ST has a higher load capacity compared to the older model.

I saw some reviews that complained about the seat mount on the new design. Have you had any problems with the seat coming loose?
