So there's Cs and Ts and Ultimates and plusses... Is there some sort of method to all these models? How are they arranged as to components and quality?
Here's a little breakdown of the naming we use in the shop to explain the model families, hopefully it helps!
HMB= Hybrid Mid drive Bosch
T9=Shimano 9s drivetrain
T10=Shimano 10s drivetrain
c7/8=internally geared Shimano 7 or 8s hub
C380=Enviolo rear hub, so far only paired with a belt drive and in the Ultimate family
+=Bosch Performance Speed motor
Medeo is the starting point for Gazelle, Ultimate is about $500 more per model and has a bit nicer spec of parts on it, the wheels, front suspension, saddle, grips, and lights all get a little upgrade compared to Medeo.
The T9 and T9 city are the only models with 400wh batteries, everything else is 500wh
Arroyo is placed kind of in between Medeo and Ultimate and are all low step frames with quick adjust stems and feature the Active Line Plus. The main difference between the C7 and C8 is the front suspension, grips, lights, and the Shimano Nexus 8s hub versus the 7s. The 8s hub has a wider gear range which is nice for hillier areas.
Hopefully that clears things up!
