Cafe cruiser speedometer

New bike, less than 20 miles. Everything seems to work properly, except … sometimes the speedometer freezes. Yesterday it showed a constant 22.4 mph, today it was locked on 12.something. Started off working ok, sometime during the ride it froze. The odometer continues to count up, and the PA indicator and control button works properly.

Ok, I have solved half the problem. I was riding today and it happened again … display was normal, showing actual mph and odometer. Then the speedo froze. Odo kept counting up. So i poked the o/i button to cycle through the options, and it cleared up. Default display is mph and watts, i want mph and miles. By touching the o/i button the watts changes to odo. I discovered that there are several selections, one is live mph and odo. I haven’t taken the time to learn what all the options are, but at least i know the display isn't broken.
