Buying dilemma - warranties

Good morning,
I wonder if I can ask your advice.
I have the opportunity to buy (through 2 different avenues) the same e-mt bike from a decent make.
The first has done very minimal milage and only comes with 3 months warranty, as manufacturer warranty can't be transferred
The second is a first sale and thus has the standard 2 years
The price difference is £600
Both bikes are 2022 models (Orbea) and they have the same spec - with Bosch motor.
My question is whether it is worth getting the cheaper one ie. what are warranty claims valued at generally ...or is it impossible to say?
Is a motor warranty transferrable (ie the bosch bit)?
Thanks in advance ...it's probs a question that has no answer I appreciate.

Get the one with the warranty. You can thank me later :)

I think orbea offer the original owner a "lifetime" frame warranty as well as a non transferrable 2 year warranty on everything else?
If you intend to keep the bike for 2+ years AND use it regularly - buy new!

In the past 5 years I've had 3 motors replaced under warranty (2 bikes - giant and specialized ) , plus a few thousand ( aus) $ worth of parts. I'm not convinced the manufacturers appreciate how much fun we have.

Oh, and if you intend to sell before 2 years, buy a brand with a transferable warranty! ( eg specialized)

Look if this was some type of Bafang equipped middrive i might advise you save a few bucks and go for the 3 month warranty but in this case i think its better to be safe than sorry, i would fork out the extra 600 clams, post like the ones above would not give me much confidence in the product.

Bosch warranty does not transfer. Also, at least in the US, it doesn't technically include labor though the dealer typically eats this cost if you bought from them.

Third party Bosch CX motor overhaul runs £362 from Performance Line Bearings in the UK. A new 625wh powertube runs about £600.

Personally, I'd have no problem buying a used Bosch ebike (knowing the potential costs) but I wouldn't be using it as a true mtb. I don't think that price differential is enough to justify used especially without knowing what the 90 day warranty actually covers.
