Bultoco Brinco Electric Bicycle

Bultaco calls the Brinco a Moto-Bike, but it's what most people would consider a classic moped with pedals being assisted by some source of extra power. In this case, the grunt comes from an electric motor mounted to the rear wheel hub that produces a peak 4 horsepower (3 kilowatts) and 44 pound-feet of torque. It feeds from a one kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery mounted on the frame. The whole setup gives the Brinco an assisted range of about 19 miles, but obviously that can be supplemented by pedaling. A full recharge when hooked up to a wall socket takes about two hours.

It's good to see these more powerful electric bicycles coming out. All electric bicycles will evolve in this direction.

This bike is about the same as a stealth Fighter, but even less expensive.

Nice machine. I wonder what the yellow bars on the top tube are all about. 4 horse power (2982.79949 watts) seems capable of way more than 44 foot pounds or 60 newton meters of torque. Perhaps it is because of the direct drive VS geared mid-drives that also claim 60 Nm (like the Bosch). I'd ride one to the Taco shop. Tnx for posting. $5,890 -S

The more detailed link indicates nominal power of 2kw, which is more like 2.68 hp, and 37 mph top speed which is probably perfect conditions. Still this is more like it. For $1800 more than Stromer, and $1200 less than a Fighter, I'd have to take a serious look at it.

Very nice! Bike and price, a lot of tech for the money. I would love this to run my fields, with something like this I would want to create my own dirt-track. You think there is time to send Santa an addendum?
