Build report on 5 new FLX Blades

So its been a few weeks and few hundred miles on the bike. Further observations:

I'm 250 lbs and ride like a bat outta hell at max power. Seems range is about 30 mile (which is very good). Minute I back off and ride like a normal human I can get over 50 miles.

Brakes are silent and require a strong progressive squeeze. In other words, brakes are very linear and are not fussy or jerky. For me, a great feel.

Rear rack is solid and quiet. No rattles

Shifting remains silent and has a solid engagement. No half shifts at all.

Schwalbe super moto tires do pick up tiny stones in tread and give the impression that something is rubbing on the bike. I give the tires a quick rub to remove stones and back to normal. These tires are damn sticky with very good cornering grip. I have not been able to have the rear end slide out on me.

I do have a couple of nits (or wishes for next gen)

-removable display

-better cable management (even some tie wraps to clean up look)

-the speedo shows speeds up to 60mph and I can't seem to reset it back to another speed. There is a control line item in the settings to change the display speed but the display does not change.

I told ya, pretty small list. Now if the motor proves durable, then I can safely say this is one of the better bike builds in the industry.

Minor Update: Bike running well. Only nit was a minor adjustment to derailleur (probably a good idea to do at 600 miles anyway). Have yet to use gears 4-8 but this is typical for an ebike unless you climb very steep grades.

A thrill every time I ride.

So its been about 5 months and 1K miles later. I am very disappointed in the performance of the bike.

Here are my complaints:

1. The bike seems to be getting faster and faster. I am now cruising at 27 mph.

2. The damn chain is not stretching like its supposed to and doesn't even need to be lubricated.

3. I keep waiting for the brakes to make noise and so far have been terribly disappointed.

4. I keep double checking all the bolts on the bike and they remain rock solid tight.

5. I'm still not sure all the gears work as I have only used 2 of them.

6. I keep checking the air pressure in the front shocks and it hasn't budged since I bought the bike.

Bummer.....................

Ha! I'm having the same "troubles" with my two year old Ultra powered bike.
