Budget options to improve entry level V brakes Giant MTB

I am planning to convert my wife and daughter's entry level Giant MTB. I have ordered two sets of 500W Bafang mid drive motor to give it sufficient power to deal with different terrains, because there are small hill slopes throughout the city here in Melbourne. After some second thought, I am a bit worry that the basic V brakes that come with the bikes are not good enough to do their jobs after fitting with the motors.

I've searched a little to see how to improve that to give us a peace of mind on safety. However, I found that upgrading to disc brakes are not entirely worth it, as I have to change both the wheels too. Because my original plan was to make all our family's 4 ordinary bikes into ebike on budget, I would like to seek some advice here to see what would be the most budget conscious way to make the bikes safe in my configurations. We have never actually had any ebike before, thus, we don't even know whether the original brakes are good enough for a 500W mid drive. Thanks in advanced for any input.

it would depend on what type of brakes you have. using koolstop pads can do a lot. there are higher end brakes but it depends on the bike.

I've uploaded photos of the brakes to my original post. I've heard of the Koolstop. It seems to be a good option if they are good enough to provide sufficient stoppiing power in good weather. They don't bike in wet weather basically.

they are the best pads out there. especially in the wet.

maybe these but you have to make sure your levers are compatible wit them that I can't help you a shop would be the best best.

After some research on Kool Stop, I believe the one below specially made for e-bikes are good for our purpose. Since our family only use it for recreational purchase. I guess that’s good enough to provide sufficient safety. Thanks for reminding of the brand.
