After seeing it this makes perfect sense to me, but, for some reason, my idiot brain automatically thought, "what, like a hover-bike?"

They look like the wheels on the martian rovers.

I watched a video of a Humvee with that style of airless tire. When they slammed on the brakes, the tire basically wound up from the momentum, and then rocked back and forth while the vehicle was stationary. Not that it would work that way on a bike, but it's big engineering and testing to get it right. Do they design by the rider weight?

Here's a little bit of legal humor: When a lawyer says, "I intend to love you", do you know what that means? Nothing.

So, when a company says, "we are set to introduce..blah blah blah"

That means nothing, imo.

It's a product place-holder, or test-market balloon. Been there, done that.
