I am new to California have recently acquired a Prodeco Phantom 3 E-bike. It's the first one I have ridden or owned. Here is my problem. I was ridding one day around the neighborhood and not gonna lie, I was taking a turn, coming in hot, and it slide out from underneath me. Now when try and ride the bike and I go full throttle it shuts down. I can turn off and turn back on and it works for a few seconds then it turns off again. I checked all connections. Everything looks good. Now if pick the bike up off the ground, hold the back tire up it will go full throttle no problem. Its not until I sit on it and start going down the road does it shut off again. Just wandering if anyone has any suggestions Thank you.

You might check in with the Prodeco forum. It looks like an older bike, no?

The brand of bike won't matter that much, since a full throttle shutdown almost always means a battery problem, especially with a used ebike. The battery is probably old/tired, and when asked to supply the high currents needed to sustain full throttle, its voltage sags. If it sags below the minimum expected by either the bike or the battery protection circuit, it shuts off.

harryS, so do you suggest getting a new battery or is it even worth getting one with it being an older model.
